Friends And it was that Tony and I became friends. We spent time with the same people. We gamed every week with the same people. We went to movies with the same people. We went to the symphony together. We did lots of things that friends do...in groups. Large groups. And so the next two years passed. And the time spent with large groups diminished. Tony moved to the Eastside with with two of his friends, as did I. Soon, the Eastside folks started spending more time together. In groups. Not so large groups. Then, on one strange evening, Tony came over to watch a movie and hang out. His roommates were busy, and I was tired of being at home by myself. So we sat on the sofa in the steady blue glow of my television set (set to video) and talked. And drank. And laughed. And kissed. (This is the part where everyone goes "Awwww") |
